New AvPR poster

Dig this cool, graphic-novel inspired poster for ALIENS VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM, coming at you from Japan (courtesy of Filmz.ru). I certainly like this one better than the U.S. one-sheets that have been popping up, but all of the marketing materials for this flick have been nothing short of pleasantly surprising.

Of course, AVP-R is the bloodier, gorier, more R-rated-ier sequel to ALIEN VS. PREDATOR. It takes place in a Colorado town, where a crashed Predator ship lets loose a horde of aliens – including the wacky “Predalien” – upon the unsuspecting populace. I’m guessing that the Predator will once again take on the role of “hero,” or at least the lesser of two evils.

Directed by The Brothers Strause, AVP-R attacks on Christmas Day. Won’t you buy a ticket for your loved one?

Reiko Aylesworth = the hot badass
