Edgar Wright returns this year with an original piece of work that promises to be a cavalcade of stylish action, Wrightian wit and toe-tapping music. About a young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) who works to the beat of his IPod and is seeking a way out of crime life when he meets a lovely girl (Lily James), BABY DRIVER will be this year’s DRIVE, except BABY manages to crack a few jokes along the way. I don’t think this trailer offered a ton of new footage, but it definitely feels more ramped-up, featuring way more of the music and action mixing we can expect in the actual movie. We can anticipate more footage in the coming month or two now that the release has been pumped-up from August to June 28, so stay tuned for more guns, cars, music and Kevin Spacey with a shotgun.
