We haven’t heard anything from Christopher Smith’s BLACK DEATH since back in April, when we got a look at the official trailer for the flick. So where’s this little diddy been? I have no idea but today we’ve finally got another look!

Medieval England has fallen under the shadow of the Black Death, a young monk called Osmund is charged in leading a fearsome knight, Ulric and his group of mercenaries to a remote marsh. Their quest is to hunt down a necromancer – someone able to bring the dead back to life. Torn between his love of God and the love of a young woman, Osmund discovers the necromancer, a mysterious beauty called Langiva. After Langiva reveals her Satanic identity and offers Osmund his heart’s desire, the horror of his real journey begins.
I recently had a chance to catch Chris Smith’s acclaimed flick SEVERANCE and I’ve got to admit… I wasn’t impressed. I suppose I’m more of a who-dun-it slasher fan rather than the ‘deformed-serial-killing-whatever’ slasher flick. Alas I dug Smith’s TRIANGLE for what it was so I’m willing to give the dude another shot.
BLACK DEATH stars Sean Bean, Kimberley Nixon, Eddie Redmayne, Carice van Houten (below), David Warner, Andy Nyman, Tim McInnerny, John Lynch, Johnny Harris, Marianne Graffam and Emun Elliot. Still no word on when this one will hit the US but as always, we’ll keep you updated.
