You know, for such a high profile cast intact, Michael Lander’s schizophrenic thriller PEACOCK has gone relatively unnoticed. I mean, not only have we pimped a mere 5 articles about the movie in a span of 2 years or so, the fact that Lionsgate is content on releasing a flick with Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Susan Sarandon, Bill Pullman and Josh Lucas straight to DVD…well, it’s a bit disconcerting.
Be that as it may, we’re gonna do our best today to raise awareness about the flick, doing so through a brand new clip from the film we just got our bloody claws all over. Need I tell where to find that bi’atch? Thought not!
Co-written with Lander by Ryan O Roy, PEACOCK is a suspense thriller about a man named John (Murphy) who lives a reclusive life that gets broken open when a train caboose destroys his house’s fence, opening his life up to the world. Neighbors learn a lot more about John including his other personality Emma whom they believe to be his wife. This makes him the focus and spotlight of the community, eventually shattering the delicate balance of his sanity.
Convoluted, right? You bet your balls it is! So long as Lander doesn’t go too heavy with the PSYCHO references, the cast alone is worth giving the flick a chance. Would you agree?
Speaking of casts, Keith Carradine, Bradley Steven Perry, Graham Beckel, Jaimi Page, Virginia Newcomb, Chris Carlson, Paul Cram, Zoe Pappas and Todd Thompson also star in the film.
