Probably the best way to describe these two new clips from SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR and DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES is beauty and the beast, with the beauty being Rosario Dawson's Gail, and the beast being Koba (Toby Kebbell), the aggressive ape we first met in RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES.

We'll start with the clip from DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, since we've seen most of the clip already in the final trailer for Matt Reeves' upcoming film. You know what scene I'm talking about: Koba is acting all innocent as he approaches two humans, and then things take a dark turn.

Koba isn't a fan of stricter gun control laws:

The clip from SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR isn't as chilling as the one from DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES, however it does feature Gail telling a dude she wants him, but first she needs something from the trunk of a car. If there's one thing I learned while watching SIN CITY, it's if Gail is acting a little too friendly, blood is probably going to be spilled soon. Sure enough…

"When I'm alone, it makes me want to do all kinds of crazy things."

DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES will be in theaters on July 11, 2014, and SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR will open on August 22, 2014.
