New Covey Pics

It seems like forever since we’ve been updated on Renny Harlin’s THE COVENANT, which is somewhat surprising because it’s aiming to hit a September release date. But low and behold our step-fadda JoBlo scored an assload of images from the film, and all I can say is ‘Hooray’!


Not that I really care about the story or the plot or any of the actors (though this Laura Ramsey chick here is pretty hot), but what I do care about is that it’s a Renny Harlin picture, and I freakin’ love that guy’s stuff! Yes, his flicks mostly fall in that entertaining trash category, but at least they’re always fun, and you know what to expect when you walk in to one of his movies. Let’s just hope he’s more on his DEEP BLUE SEA game, than his EXORCIST: THE BEGINNING shitfest.


Since it’s been awhile, here’s an update on what THE COVENANT is all about:


THE COVENANT tells the story of the Sons of Ipswich, four young students at the elite Spenser Academy who are bound by their sacred ancestry. As descendants of the original families who settled in Ipswich Colony in the 1600’s, the boys have all been born with special powers. When the body of a dead student is discovered after a party, secrets begin to unravel which threaten to break the covenant of silence that has protected their families for hundreds of years.
