New Descent Poster

If this doesn’t scream ‘Kick Ass’, I don’t what does. Behold the latest and greatest poster for Neil Marshall’s upcoming chicks-in-a-cave-with-a-monster movie THE DESCENT!

As it looks like this chick’s wading through a pool of blood and guts, this poster gives us gore hounds exactly what we want- chicks, blood and guts. There’s no lyin’ or denyin’ what this flick’s about with a poster like this. Gotta love that shite.

On the downside, the blurb about it being from the studio that brought us SAW and HOSTEL just seems like a cheap gimmick to bring folks in the theater. Sure, that’s what a poster is all about, but since when does the studio distributing the flick have all that much to say about how the film is? Or how it’s made? Or how it turns out? It’s like promoting SUPERMAN RETURNS by saying ‘from the studio that brought you BATMAN BEGINS’. Yo, that shite doesn’t matter!

Anyway, no need to rip it a new one for it, I’m just sayin’. The poster’s sweet, the quotes are awesome (Thank you Arrow!), and the movie just looks spectacular. Be sure to check it out in theaters next month, when it opens nationwide August 4th.
