So this is cool! Apparently long-time fan-favorite movie poster artist Drew Struzan – who is known for his iconic work on the STAR WARS, INDIANA JONES, and BACK TO THE FUTURE posters, among, many, many, many others – is being inducted into the prestigious Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame! And in the above video – put together by filmmakers Erik Sharkey and Jim Sanders – we see him being congratulated by his friends and colleauges, such as Harrison Ford, Frank Darabont, Greg Nicotero, Sam Witwer, Bob Gale, Dean DeBlois, Leonard Maltin, and Michael J Fox!
As a lifelong nerd, Stuzan's art is definitely embedded in my brain as images that evoke pure nostalgia and joy, so it's definitely nice to see him being formally recognized like this. If you have a chance, give the vid a quick look!
