Director Bryan Singer has taken to Instagram yet again to tease new footage from X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, showing off a brief few seconds of footage from the upcoming sequel(ish). Shots of Wolverine, Magneto, Mystique, Warpath, and Professor X are seen under some heavy percussion, which is enough to get me at least a little excited.

Take a look:

Here’s the synopsis:

The X-Men send Wolverine to the past in a desperate effort to change history and prevent an event that results in doom for both humans and mutants.

Does this mean a new trailer is on the way? If I was a betting man, I’d say yes. Regardless, it appears that there will be something happening related to X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, particularly on January 27th. Here’s the word from Singer:

I’m really looking forward to seeing how Singer pulls this off. The whole set-up of Fox expanding the X-Universe and doing the movies “Marvel-style” sounds like the right move for the X-Men franchise and I think this will be a great launching off film for that to happen. Then, maybe we’ll get X-FORCE off the ground, eh?

X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, starring everyone except James Marsden, Famke Janssen, and Anna Paquin hits theaters on May 23, 2014.
