New Ghost Poster

We woke up to a special treat today, as Moviefone is rockin’ the first look at the brand-spankin’-new poster for this February’s GHOST RIDER, starring Nic Cage and Eva Mendes. Is it all we could have hoped and dreamed for? Well, yes… and no.

By yes, I’m talkin’ the sweet bike with the blazin’ Rider holding his GF little scene that you see above- this part of the poster rocks, and is exactly what we needed to see. By no, I’m talkin’ the lame-ass tag line (Long Ago He Made A Deal To Save Someone He Loved.), and the giant heads of Cage and Mendes- they just seem out of place, almost as if they were added as an afterthought. What the hell? Maybe they figured they couldn’t just say Cage’s name, but they had to remind folks who he is with his giant head, and they needed Mendes’ head to pull in the female audience they’re looking for? Whatever the reason… it’s not cool.

To check out the full poster and see what I’m talkin’ about, go ahead and click HERE (or on the flaming skull above), and spit some bullets below on your take of the new GHOST RIDE poster. Will the movie be better than the poster? We can only hope… GHOST RIDER zooms into theaters February 16th.
