Being an M. Night Shyamalan fan, I often find myself being an M. Night Shyamalan apologist. Not sure why the guy has so many detractors after delivering on SIGNS, THE SIXTH SENSE and UNBREAKABLE. Sure people had issues with THE VILLAGE and LADY AND THE WATER but those are still much more enjoyable than most of the shit out there. Shyamalan’s next, THE HAPPENING, hits theaters this June on Friday the 13th and promises a first from the director – an R-rating. Plus it’s got Zooey Deschanel, which is a plus.
The new trailer is online now at MSN Movies and lovers of all things high def will be extremely disappointed. All you’ll get is a little, streaming flash player that, as you might expect, doesn’t stream all that well. There is a link to an HD trailer but it’s not the new trailer, it’s the original teaser. BUMMER. Nevertheless, it’s cool enough to check out.
