As a big “X-Men” fan, I haven’t been wowed at all with anything I’ve seen from X-MEN: FIRST CLASS. There are, at times, I forget that it even exists. It’s not that it looks bad necessarily, it’s just completely forgettable. But I have to say that I’m impressed with this new international trailer for the film and hope that it’ll be released here in the US sometime soon.
There’s not exactly a whole lot in terms of new footage in this trailer (though there is that too) but it’s edited together in an exciting and palatable way, which is more than I can say for any of the US trailers. It’s still a long way from convincing me it’s gonna be a great film but I also understand that director Matthew Vaughn is in a major time crunch to make the June release date and it’s possible that, like GREEN LANTERN, there isn’t an abundance of finished footage.
