Superman, Brandon Routh, superhero, Crisis on Infinite Earths

Let is be known that Brandon Routh knows how to celebrate his birthday in style. On October 9th, the superhero actor welcomed his latest solar circumnavigation by suiting up as both Ray Palmer/The Atom and Clark Kent/Kingdom Come Superman for the CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" crossover event. While on the set of the ambitious superhero spectacle, Tala Ashe, who plays Zari Tomaz on DC's LEGEND OF TOMORROW, snapped a photo with Routh while the Man of Steel actor was sporting his Kingdom Come super suit.

Would you look at the googly eyes on Ashe? I mean, can you really blame her? After all, Routh is looking rather mighty in his black, red and blue ensemble, complete with a cape that even Edna Mode of INCREDIBLES fame would approve of.

Joining Routh for the upcoming Arrowverse crossover are a number of actors from shows like SUPERGIRL, BATWOMAN, DC's LEGENDS OF TOMORROW, THE FLASH, and ARROW, as well as SMALLVILLE stars Tom Welling and Erica Durance. Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch are also set to reprise their roles as Superman and Lois Lane, respectively, which is bound to add even more excitement to an already energetic endeavor.

The CW's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" will carry across ARROW, THE FLASH, SUPERGIRL, DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW and BATWOMAN. The five-episode superhero smackdown kicks off with SUPERGIRL on Sunday, December 8th, which is set to be followed by BATWOMAN on Monday, December 9th. THE FLASH will follow on Tuesday, December 10th, and then the event will go on a bit of a holiday hiatus. Fear not though, my friends, the adventure will resume with ARROW on Tuesday January 14th at 8 p.m. and conclude with LEGENDS OF TOMORROW at 9 p.m.

Happy belated birthday, Brandon! I hope your day was epic!
