What do you do if you hear that Kopelson Entertainment, the production banner that brought you SEVEN, is sheparding another intense serial killer flick? If you’re New Line you recognize a good bet early and you move on it.
KILLING ON CARNIVAL ROW is a spec script from newbie scribe Travis Beacham, that Kopelson acquired through an intern who was a classmate of Beacham’s. Read on for the concept that’s got eveyone jumping:
“Killing on Carnival Row” takes place in the future in a city called the Burgue. It looks curiously like 18th-century London, and the inhabitants are humans and other creatures. A serial killer is targeting some of those creatures.
Sounds cool to me. It’s intriguing and vague all at the same time. Kinda like how I prefer my strippers.
