Our first official look at Arnold Schwarzenegger in TERMINATOR: GENYSIS was something of a let-down, but then again, none of those initial images were very encouraging. Now we’ve got a new peek of Arnie’s mug, courtesy of Reddit, you can check it out below. Looking good, Pops!

In case you missed it, or shoved it out of your memory bank, the new TERMINATOR film takes a fairly different approach to the tale we’re so familiar with. This is from Entertainment Weekly’s article about it:

Sarah Connor isn’t the innocent she was when Linda Hamilton first sported feathered hair and acid-washed jeans in the role. Nor is she Hamilton’s steely zero body-fat warrior in 1991’s T2. Rather, the mother of humanity’s messiah was orphaned by a Terminator at age 9. Since then, she’s been raised by (brace yourself) Schwarzenegger’s Terminator—an older T-800 she calls “Pops”—who is programmed to guard rather than to kill. As a result, Sarah is a highly trained antisocial recluse who’s great with a sniper rifle but not so skilled at the nuances of human emotion.

Directed by Alan Taylor, TERMINATOR: GENYSIS also stars Emilia Clarke, Jason Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung-hun Lee, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt and Matt Smith. It comes out July 1, 2015.
