We have here another new poster for ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE. This is the German version and I’ve got to say, it looks like the best one yet! You’ve got a huge closeup of the criminally gorgeous Amber (Mandy) Heard (below), yet there’s something off in her seemingly dazed expression. Then you catch a glance of the light splatter of blood at the bottom of her neck and you know that she’s in the midst of some f*cked up shite. Good stuff!
The bad news is, there still is no set US release date for the focking flick! What the hell?! This has gone on far too long. What is Senator (MANDY’s distributor) waiting for? Oscar season? Maybe it’s because no one took a couple of seconds to do the math for them? Okay, well, I’ll take care of it right now. Pay attention, Senator, my student:
Hot young cast + Fun suspense + Already-positive word of mouth x The fact that PROM NIGHT (which essentially has a similar blonde-getting-stalked plot) can make $20 million on opening weekend = Release this flick immediately because you WILL turn a profit!
There, I said it. Feel better? Now, you should have zero qualms about finally putting MANDY up on the big screen. I’d recommend a labor day weekend release where horror flicks (ROB ZOMBIE’S HALLOWEEN, JEEPERS CREEPERS 1 & 2) tend to thrive best. Plus, it gives kids distraught about going back to school a nice outlet for their frustrations. But don’t you dare think about going the PG-13 route! Class dismissed.
