New Martian viral video and clip shows us what it takes to be an astronaut

During a manned mission to Mars, Astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead after a fierce storm and left behind by his crew. But Watney has survived and finds himself stranded and alone on the hostile planet. Before the journey to rescue Mark Watney beings, the latest in viral videos for THE MARTIAN shows some of what he had to go through in order to get his ass to Mars. Let the pre-mission training program begin!

Ridley Scott is known for putting together some great viral videos, and the genius of THE MARTIAN is that not only is it exciting on a cinematic level, but it also applies to where NASA is nowadays. Sure, we don't have a man on Mars yet, but they're always breaking new ground. When we DO get someone up there, it will be a hell of a moment.
