Attention all TWILIGHT haters! Prepare to witness another round of bashing upon this lame-ass series as I report on the latest feisty news regarding the NEW MOON sequel. Let’s go:
Just yesterday, Jared P. informed you guys that lame minor vampire character named Victoria (played by cutie, Rachelle Lefevre, right) was now being played by super hottie, Bryce Dallas Howard (below). Well whoopty-do! So now Ms. Howard’s worst movie may not be LADY IN THE WATER. But apparently, there’s more to this story… more whiny drama! It looks like Ms. Lefevre is not taking the news of her being replaced very well. She may actually have a good reason because the kind folks at Summit (MOON’s distributor) apparently never informed her that her role had been taken away! Take a look at what a “stunned” and “deeply hurt” Rachelle said in a recent statement regarding the 10-day NEW MOON shoot she was initially scheduled for:
“I turned down several other film opportunities and, in accordance with my contractual rights, accepted only roles that would involve very short shooting schedules. Although the production schedule for `Eclipse’ is over three months long, Summit said they had a conflict during those 10 days and would not accommodate me. Given the length of filming for `Eclipse,’ never did I fathom I would lose the role over a 10-day overlap.”
Well, missy, it looks like you should’ve done a little more fathoming because (from your statement) Summit doesn’t appear to have done anything wrong or illegal. Now it sounds like your crying about it. If this “Victoria” role meant so much to you, then perhaps you should’ve kept a clearer schedule. Now Summit scored a way better actress for your original role.
I honestly don’t understand why anybody would want to be involved with these fruity vampire/werewolf films. I guess it’s for the money… and the fame. That’s Hollywood for ya. So far, Summit has yet to respond to Rachelle’s sadness, but I’m betting we’ll have an answer real soon.
