New Mortal Kombat 11: Aftermath gameplay footage shows off RoboCop fatality!

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

So, I was a huge fan of MORTAL KOMBAT 11. It was fun, challenging, and brought things back to basics. Not only that, but it also had some of the best DLC characters of all time (though it is admittedly missing some of the horror icons of X). However, most importantly, its story mode was – in my opinion – one of the most compelling videogame stories in recent memory (and this is an era where NIER: AUTOMATA and OUTER WILDS exist).

Personally I can't wait for the new AFTERMATH DLC! It looks like it's adding to the game in the most vital ways, i.e. the story looks goddamn epic (though slightly disappointed that Liu Kang didn't get to SPOILERS!!! make some f*cked up alternate timeline where not allowing Shao Kahn or Shang Tsung to exist makes all the Earthrealm characters villains or something), since there was a lot of cool development in 11's ending (KITANA KAHN! YES!) that would have admittedly been a shame to undo. Also, ya know, ROBOCOP shooting people in the nuts!

Unfortunately we'll all have to wait for the MORTAL KOMBAT 11: AFTERMATH DLC to be officially available May 26th!

So, what do you guys think? Excited for the new DLC? If so, which feature are you most excited about (and why is it the return of Friendships)? Either way, sound off below!
