It seems there’s a Filipino genre flick that’s been getting some attention as of late that has somehow been flying under our radar. Well I’m about to change that.
The project I’m getting at is a supernatural romp called THE ROAD and it’s coming our way from director Yam Laranas. Alright so there’s not a whole lot to get excited about there but check out the rundown:
A twelve year old cold case is reopened when three teens are missing in an abandoned road. In the course of the investigation, deeper and gruesome stories of abduction and murders are discovered. After more than two decades, the secrets of the haunted road may finally be revealed.
Not too shabby eh? And we’re not done yet! Not only do we have the trailer for this little diddy for you guys below and over in our videos section, but we’ve also got a look at the newest one-sheet for THE ROAD! If you scroll directly below you can check out the poster, which seems to highlight some sort of rotting corpse. Can’t really go wrong with a rotting corpse, now can you?
THE ROAD sports an international cast that includes Carmina Villarroel (below), Marvin Agustin, TJ Trinidad, Rhian Ramos and Barbie Forteza. Johan Söderqvist tapped the score.
Now that’s all we’ve got to go on with THE ROAD for now but I’d say it’s more than enough to garner a valid opinion on this shindig. What says you guys? You digging this one? Spit some bullets below and let us know as we wait for more from the Filipino horror romp.
