New Ouija trailer reminds you that it’s just a game, starring Olivia Cooke

Universal’s supernatural tale surrounding a game that no one plays anymore has just landed a new trailer, just ahead of its release next month on October 24th. I thought that the first trailer we saw back in July was pretty disappointing because it was painfully generic. They’re obviously marketing this one towards the tween audience, which is cool and all (they need horror flicks too you know!), but the problem is that it looks like the same old recycled horror cliches we’ve seen time and time again. Well, the new trailer—which you lovely folks can check out below—is more of the same, unfortunately. Maybe it’s just the case of an unconvincing trailer, but right now I’m not feeling OUIJA, like at all.

OUIJA is simple enough as it follows:

A group of friends must confront their most terrifying fears when they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board.

Directed by Stiles White, OUIJA stars Olivia Cooke, Douglas Smith, Bianca Santos, Daren Kagasoff, Vivis Colombetti, Ana Coto and Erin Moriarty.
