PS5 Showcase unleashes Resident Evil Village story trailer!

The PS5 Showcase happened a couple days ago, and while it revealed a lot of new gameplay footage for many highly-anticipated games, one of the standouts was the trailer for RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE, the eighth in the franchise! You can watch it at the top of the article, and below is the official synopsis:

The game is set a few years after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. During the reveal Capcom's Kellen Haney said about the story: "Ethan's world suddenly comes crashing down once again when Chris Redfield, an unexpected yet familiar face makes an appearance, setting off a chain of events that sees a distraught Ethan seeking answers to Chris's shocking actions, and ultimately finding him in a mysterious village." Events will take place in Europe. Just like Resident Evil 7, the game was developed on the RE Engine and is set in the first-person perspective.

Meanwhile, RESIDENT EVIL VILLAGE will hit consoles and PC sometime next year!
