A very pretty – but misleading – poster for THE SIGNAL has popped up over at IGN, depicting two of the film’s protagonists amidst a sea of “crazies.” While it is a striking one-sheet (click on it to see the whole thing), it’s somewhat embellishing the scale of the movie. This is mostly a very intimate story featuring only a dozen or so characters – while the vast amounts of carnage and murder is, for the most part, relegated off-screen.
Nevertheless, it looks cool, and will hopefully get asses in the seats come February 22, when the film is scheduled to be released (although it has been bounced around before). It’s a good movie worth checking out – and The Arrow would agree with me.
(On a personal note, I’m surprised the poster doesn’t feature the film’s real star: A.J. Bowen, as the intensely psychotic Lewis Denton. He’s the one you’ll walk away from this one remembering.)
