New trailer for Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale teases a chilling Christmas tale

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Praise Satan, everyone, as CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA is coming back early. Well, sort of. While everyone eagerly awaits the second season of the hit Netflix series fans will get a lovely one-off treat in the form of CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA: A MIDWINTER'S TALE, an eerie take on the Christmas special. The first trailer for the outing is here to tease some yuletide terror in the form of some creepy Christmas baddies and one terrifying Santa. I mean, even more terrifying than your average mall Santa.

The special brings back everyone from the original series, including Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Miranda Otto as her aunt Zelda and Chance Perdomo as the very fashionable Ambrose. Together they and a few more familiar faces will square off against some evil Christmas spirits, proving that this time of year is equally as stressful on witches as it is on everyone else. The teaser for the new special comes a few days after the teaser for part two of the series dropped, announcing an April 5, 2019 premiere date on Netflix.

Here is the synopsis for A MIDWINTER'S TALE:

“The Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice — the longest night of the year — when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors — both welcome and unwelcome — you never know what might come down the chimney…”

CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA: A MIDWINTER'S TALE is on Netflix December 14.
