New trailer for Starz series Ash vs. Evil Dead promises dessert

Last Updated on July 22, 2021

A new trailer has hit the internets for ASH VS. EVIL DEAD, the upcoming Starz television series that will see Bruce Campbell returning to the role of EVIL DEAD hero Ash to slay Deadites for the first time since 1992's ARMY OF DARKNESS. (Not counting video games and comic books.)

There's a lot of footage we've seen before in this trailer, but there's also a good amount of new stuff mixed in there, including the revelation of what dessert Ash likes to get when he has a chance to relax between monster battles.

Set to debut on Starz at 9pm EST on October 31st, ASH VS. EVIL DEAD has the following synopsis:

Campbell reprises his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead.  When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal.  Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip.

Sam Raimi directed and wrote, with Ivan Raimi and Tom Spezialy, the first episode of the season's ten episode run. Campbell is joined in the cast by Lucy Lawless as the mysterious Ruby, Ray Santiago as Ash's sidekick Pablo Simon Bolivar, Dana DeLorenzo as moody wild child Kelly Maxwell, Mimi Rogers as Kelly's mom Suzy, and Jill Marie Jones as disgraced Michigan State Trooper Amanda Fisher.

Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell are executive producing the show with Rob Tapert and showrunner Craig DiGregoria, with Aaron Lam and Chloe Smith as producers and Ivan Raimi as co-executive producer.
