Nearly a month ago we introduced you to a f*cked up little science fiction project from Clay Liford called EARTHLING, even going so far as to give you a look at the first teaser for the film (revisit that shite HERE). And seeing how the film is set to screen in about a week at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, it only makes sense a brand new trailer and additional teaser clip have been…well..unearthed. Starring Rebecca Spence, Peter Green, William Katt, and Jennifer Sipes – EARTHLING goes a little like this:
After a mysterious atmospheric event, a small group of people wake up to realize that their entire lives have been a lie. They are in fact aliens disguised as humans. Now they have to make a choice. Live amongst men, or try to find a way back home.
Pretty startling premise, wouldn’t you say? Could you imagine waking up to realize your whole existence has been a sham, that in fact you are not human? That what you believed to be real was in fact just a mirage? It’s kinda like THE MATRIX meets MOON, with a dash of ALIEN thrown in for extra spice. Whether or not the quality of EARTHLING will match any of said films remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a project I’m keeping tabs on.
Savanna Sears, Amelia Turner, Harry Goaz, Bill Jenkins, Allison Latta, Andrew Sensenig, Stacy Cunningham, Bill Sebastian, Saxon Sharbino, Susanna Gibb, Kim Foster, Chris Doubek, Gail Cronauer, and Josh Ridgway also play a part in the picture.
