New Wulf Tale

Robert Zemeckis has a knack for making good, and entertaining movies. Whether Oscar calliber (FORREST GUMP), or just plain fun (BACK TO THE FUTURE), you really can’t go wrong.

He’s also known for producing utter crap when it comes to horror films (THIRTEEN GHOSTS), but does hit the mark on occasion (DEMON KNIGHT). I know, what’s with the Zemeckis bio? I’m getting there…

His next flick is going to be an animated version of the classic English tale BEOWULF, about a knight who slays a horrid monster and becomes king. He has writters Roger Avary (PULP FICTION) and Neil Gaiman (MIRROR MASK) working at bringing it to life (sweet), and has plans to make this flick ala THE POLAR EXPRESS style.

EXPRESS was quite the ride, and had amazing effects (if you’re into that), and sounds like a good idea to translate the story to film (it’d seem silly live action, don’t you think?). Anthony Hopkins and Robin Wright Penn are currently in talks to lend their voice talents, although nothing has been confirmed as of late.
