Next season of Stranger Things might add three new teenagers

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

The third season of Netflix's hit series / pop culture phenomenon Stranger Things only just reached the streaming service a few months ago, but fans are already anxious to hear news on the fourth season. So the folks over at TVLine have provided a little bit of news.

The site hears that there will be four new recurring male characters on the show next season. Three of them will be teenagers, so we might see one or more of these guys joining the core group of kids on their next adventure.

TVLine shared minor details on these characters: one is a metalhead, another is an "entitled jock", and another seems to be a stoner, as they say he "sounds an awful lot like the twin of FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH stoner Jeff Spicoli." Spicoli on Stranger Things? Oh, gnarly!

They were a little more vague about the fourth new male addition, but they mention that he is an adult who "possesses characteristics that suggest he will figure prominently in a certain storyline set far, far away from Hawkins." I'm guessing this guy might be a Russian character.

TVLine notes that these characters could be tweaked or tossed out completely on the way to production, so we might not see all four of these guys when season 4 reaches Netflix.

It is pretty certain that we will be seeing returning stars Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Sadie Sink, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, Maya Hawke, and… yeah, I'm gonna go ahead and say David Harbour will probably be back.

We'll keep you updated on the progress of Stranger Things season 4 whenever we hear anything else.
