Where’s the goddamn hairpiece at?

Some new photos have sprouted from the set of Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor’s GHOST RIDER 2: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE…which began filming last week in Romania. As you can see, Nic Cage is in full effect. He’s got the black leather strapped on, his trusty cycle revved up, and just for good measure…dude’s striking a 1989 Mike Jackson pose, sans the bejeweled glove. Not the toughest of looks, but hey…

With Scott M. Gimple and Seth Hoffman scripting David Goyer’s story:

Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider (Cage), is found hiding out in remote Eastern Europe and struggling to repress his curse. Blaze is recruited by a sect to take on the devil (Ciaran Hinds), who wants to take over his mortal son’s body on the kid’s birthday.

Idris Elba, Johnny Whitworth and a rumored Christopher Lambert also star in the film, names we’ve known to be associated with the flick for some time now. Violante Placido (the gorgeous siren below) is a name we’re just now hearing about, and I couldn’t be more stoked about it. If the stunning Italian actress is to be Eva Mendes’ replacement, I say mighty good-on-ya to Neveldine and Taylor. Quite a looker you found there, boys!

GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE skids into theaters February 17th, 2012.
