Hyde Park-Image Nation and Troika Pictures have announced that actor-singer Nick Jonas – yes, from that trio of creepy singing brothers – will star as the male lead opposite Isabel Lucas in the edgy thriller CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR, which was first announced in September.
Guess the dude is branching out from his clean-cut Disney roots, and what better way than to star in a BASIC INSTINCT knockoff?!
The film is directed by Elizabeth Allen and written by Chris Frisina and Gregg Hurwitz. Here’s the plot:
Doug (Jonas) gets more than he bargained for when he starts having an affair with Lena (Lucas), the young wife of an investment banker renting the lake house next door for the summer. When a serious crime rocks their sleepy vacation town, Doug is let in on a devastating secret and suddenly finds himself a suspect.
CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR will commence principal photography on April 22, 2013 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
