Nicolas Cage will be out for revenge again in Pig

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It's always good to have the chance to share the news about another Nicolas Cage horror or thriller project, and today the one we've heard an update on is the revenge thriller PIG.

The feature debut of writer/director Michael Sarnoski, PIG stars Cage as

a reclusive truffle hunter in Oregon whose prize hunting pig is kidnapped, forcing him to return to old stomping grounds in Portland and confront his past.

Watching Nicolas Cage get revenge because his pig has gone missing sounds like a great time to me.

There was a "heated bidding war" over the U.S. distribution rights to PIG,  and Neon is the distributor that came out the winner. They are planning to give the film a theatrical release sometime down the line.

Sarnoski crafted the story for PIG with producer Vanessa Block. PIG was funded by Ai Films, Escape Artists, Sweet Tomato Films, and Steve Tisch. Endeavor Content is still seeking international distribution for it. Block, Tisch, and Cage produced the film with Dimitra Tsingou, Ben Giladi, David Carrico, Adam Paulsen, Dori Rath, Joseph Restaino, and Pulse Films CEO Thomas Benski.

Alex Wolff of HEREDITARY co-stars in the film.
