I can’t front, when I hear or read the title NIGHT AND FOG, all I can think of is the indelibly depressing Alain Resnais Holocaust documentary made back in 1955. That shite’s no summer picnic! So as you can imagine, it comes with much greater joy to relay a tidbit about 407’s horror comic NIGHT AND FOG being optioned for the big screen!
Yup folks, ‘tis true. Producers Gil Adler and Shane McCarthy have optioned the property, with plans to bring the following premise to celluloid:
Linked to a terrible secret from the past, an accident in a government lab turns a nearby village’s inhabitants into creatures that seem impossible to kill. A small group of survivors must hold out for the night until a special rescue team can arrive and save them from these unstoppable monsters that have not only been made real, but are also made to perfection!
Uplifting, ain’t it?!?
All jesting aside, if this flick manages to capture 1/10 the horrors of Resnais’ film (in a fictitious manner of course), the filmmakers have done their job and then some.
