As a huge fan of stoner comedies, you can bet your ass I’m also a huge fan of stoner genre flicks. It’s because of this that I’m a fan of flicks like Broken Lizard’s CLUB DREAD. Oh yeah, I went there. Well if you’re like me, then news on a new stoner horror-comedy heading our way would be music to your ears, right? Right. That’s why I’m here today to tell you about WEED OF THE LIVING DEAD!
Alright, the title is kind of lame, but wait until you hear about this one! The dudes over at ShockTillYouDrop learned of this genius idea today, which will follow two brothers who spend a night watching Night of the Living Dead and smoking pot tainted by an experimental hallucinogen. The siblings wake up and find themselves surrounded they’re in the black and white world of Romero’s Living Dead and must fight zombies.
SHAUN OF THE DEAD eat your heart out! Alright… chances are this thing won’t even come close to being as awesome as SHAUN OF THE DEAD, but it seems to be aiming in that area. Coming from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD director George A. Romero’s home-state of Pennsylvania, WEED OF THE LIVING DEAD is coming to us from EVIL BONG associate producer Michael Bilinski. No surprise there, heh. Bilinski will be writing, directing and starring in WEED. He’s hoping to have the film finished by Halloween of this year.
