NIN to film?

Now, I’m not the biggest Nine Inch Nails fan, but I will say Trent Reznor is a smart dude for what he does. With NIN releasing a new studio album, Year Zero, in a little over a month, there’s been talk of Trent making a foray into film (again). Over at Kerrang! Radio, Reznor spoke on turning the concept behind the new album into a feature length film, with Trent admitting that he’s already in talks with studios for the flick.

The album, which is being described as an “Orwellian picture of the United States circa the year 2022”, has had a really sweet viral marketing plan going for it, in which Reznor has been covertly dropping clues and tracks from the album, including purposely leaving a couple of songs in a flash drive in a bathroom stall in Lisbon. “I’m excited by the prospect of what this [potential film] has brought to me,” revealed Reznor. “We’re really looking into things it could be.”

Needless to say, here’s hoping that it doesn’t turn into another BROKEN (in case you don’t know what I’m talking about, read this, and yes, I’ve seen it).
