No Neill in J4

JURASSIC PARK III was a steaming pile of dino-doo, and proved to everyone in the world that if Steven Speilberg isn’t at the helm, then no more JURASSIC PARK movies should ever be made again. The one saving grace was the presence of Sam Neill, who reprised his role as Dr. Grant from the first film. He brought character and as much class as humanly possible to the piece, which ended up sucking balls anyway.

Which leads into why the talks for a JURASSIC PARK IV just keeps getting worse and worse. First, Joe Johnston is up to return as director. Seriously, did no one at Universal see part III??? Get someone new! The guy blows! And now, as told to The L.A. Daily News, Sam Neill will not be returning as Dr. Grant.

“I know nothing about it. I haven’t heard from anyone… I think that’s just one of the Internet rumors.” He also reported that all rumors that have him attached to star are false… And honestly, I don’t think Neill should subject himself to more crap like this and damage his career further. Give him more IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS and less JURASSIC PARK III!

Interesting enough, the current script for J4 is by William Monahan, who just won an Academy Award for best Screenplay for THE DEPARTED. Hmmmm… I loved THE DEPARTED, I hated J3… I wonder how this will end… Stick around for more updates on J4 as we hear them.
