Okay, my fellow Freddy fans! After our initial tease of the first image of the clawed one as well as the film’s first poster (above) from Comic Con, we can now safely click on to the official website! Yes, ANightmareOnElmStreet.com is now up and running, and you can click right here to see for yourself. Of course, all you’re currently getting is a synopsis and another look at the same poster, but give it some time. I’m sure that the features will be expanding soon.

I’m still pretty damn psyched for this remake and the fact that its release date has moved up to April 30th (the basic start of the Summer blockbuster season) has only added to my excitement. Having viewed WATCHMEN again over the weekend and witnessing the genius that is Jackie Earle Haley helped to remind me of the high calibre character actor we have taking over Freddy. I have so much confidence in this guy and truly believe that we’re all going to be blown away by his performance. It doesn’t matter who directed the film (Samuel Bayer) and who is co-starring in it (Thomas Dekker, Kellan Lutz, Rooney Mara, Clancy Brown, Connie Britton, and Katie Cassidy). This film is all Haley’s and his contribution should wind up being the stuff that makes it great.
