Bloody-Disgusting reports that a source over at New Line has put the kibash on the report that Stephen Norrington (BLADE) has been approached to helm the next FREDDY VS. JASON installment. Their source asserts:

So what do we now know? We know that somebody over at New Line can’t do math. We also know that it’s possible this denial is a smoke screen for a real scoop that somebody’s super pissed got out – I include that for our conspiracy theorist fans. But mostly we know that if Norrington hasn’t been offered the job, he should be, because anybody who both directed BLADE and looks that much like Ted Nugent needs to get his hands dirty with this sequel.
