Norrington’s Clash

The largely unnecessary remake I’ll end up seeing anyway, CLASH OF THE TITANS, has found itself a director in Steven Norrington. Norrington has been practically unheard from since his disastrous LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMAN adaptation (where he notoriously clashed with his own titan, Sean Connery), so this is a pretty sweet gig for him. Norrington of course made a big splash with BLADE, almost ten years ago. Then came LXG which not only flopped but completely smashed his reputation to bits. Since then, he disappeared, but now finds himself with another huge property to bring to the screen. I’m wondering how much dough Warner Bros. will be willing to throw down.

The coolest aspect of this film so far is that it was written by Lawrence Kasdan, who back in the day wrote RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK, EMPIRE STRIKES BACK and RETURN OF THE JEDI. I likes them odds!

LXG’s Peta Wilson. And yes, that’s ME she’s standing on…
