Not so Amusing

Oh, just eat my ass with a friggin’ spoon! It looks like those indecisive blokes over at Picturehouse have decided to push back the horror/clown-killer opus AMUSEMENT yet again! Oh the humanity! Even after I reported a couple months ago here the (sort of) good news that the Jake Wade Wall-scripted flick had actually been bumped up a week from its initial Semptember 12th opening.

So now when can we expect to see AMUSEMENT on the big screen? Would you even believe me if I told you? After the numerous release dates reported in the past, it feels like this flick ain’t gonna be feeling any release love anytime soon. Oh well, it is being reported that the new, current release date is set for some time in the fourth quarter of 2008. And I’ll buy that when I’m sitting in the theater and that freakin’ clown (above) is waving a set of blades right at my face. Till then, piss off!

The plot of AMUSEMENT (like you have to be reminded the umpteenth time) consists of a traumatized woman who’s questioned by a cop and a psychiatrist about three stories — involving a clown, a hotel and a convoy — that involve her and two of her female friends from childhood.
