Just a few weeks back the German answer to SHAUN OF THE DEAD hit DVD, and now it looks like NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS is next up for a remake, made specifically in mind for dem silly American audiences.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Independent Pictures (WIP) is pushing the remake forward, with Chris Bishop writing the script. Described more as a comedy than a horror flick, more AMERICAN PIE than Romero, this flick has fun written all over it… and if done in that true AMERICAN PIE style, even ample opportunities for nudity- and you know that’s never a bad thing.

You may be thinking ‘why didn’t they release the original theatrically, instead of remaking the whole thing over again’, and to that I say, ‘because American audience can’t read’. Or at least, that’s what the studios believe, as any successful foriegn film that’s remade in Hollywood generally doesn’t need the remake treatment, they just need to be in spoken English. Because we’re idiots.

Stick around for more info on NIGHT OF THE LIVING DORKS as we hear it, and let’s hope they throw one hell of a cast together (i.e., hotties who don’t mind getting naked). WIP, if you’re reading this, please see my suggestion below…
