One of the most-anticipated panels of this year’s Comic-Con celebration is underway, with a trailer for Neuromancer, the 10-episode series adaptation of William Gibson’s 1984 cyberpunk novel. The show, based on Gibson’s “impossible to adapt” book, stars Callum Turner, Briana Middleton, Mark Strong, Clémence Poésy, Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Laird, Joseph Lee, Dane DeHaan, and Marc Menchaca.
Apple’s Neuromancer series hails from showrunner Graham Roland, with J.D. Dillard directing the pilot episode. Neuromancer follows a damaged, top-rung super-hacker named Case who is thrust into a web of digital espionage and high-stakes crime with his partner Molly, a razor-girl assassin with mirrored eyes. The duo aims to pull a heist on a corporate dynasty with untold secrets.

Dark Matter Season 2 comes to Comic-Con
Apple also brought Dark Matter to the show for a Season 2 trailer debut. The sophomore season of Dark Matter launches on Apple TV on August 28.
Hailed as one of the best sci-fi novels of the decade and produced for Apple TV+ by Sony Pictures Television, Dark Matter is a story about the road not taken. The series follows Jason Dessen (played by Edgerton), a physicist, professor, and family man who — one night while walking home on the streets of Chicago — is abducted into an alternate version of his life. Wonder quickly turns to nightmare when he tries to return to his reality amid the mind-bending landscape of lives he could have lived. In this labyrinth of realities, he embarks on a harrowing journey to get back to his true family and save them from the most terrifying, unbeatable foe imaginable: himself.
During the panel, Dark Matter star Joel Egerton spoke about his experience while working on the series, saying:
“One of the great conundrums of this show is finding a world where other versions of them are not there, don’t exist in some form or aren’t going to encroach on someone’s existence or life,” Edgerton told the Hall H crowd. “As an actor, quite often you go to work and you go, ‘Oh, I’ve been through this. I know loss, I know grief, I know happiness, I know love. ‘There are so many things that get served up in this show that you go ‘This will never happen in my life. When am I? … unless I’m on LSD.'”

Mayday takes flight at Comic-Con
Apple also brought Mayday to its panel, with the film’s directors, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, saying they view the movie as “a comedic version of Misery,” in reference to the classic thriller, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name. The duo also said they watched Top Gun “Once of twice,” on their way toward making the film.
