Regardless of your thoughts about BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, there's do denying that Gal Gadot made quite an entrance as Wonder Woman. Her solo film is in the midst of production featuring the likes of Gal Gadot, Connie Nielsen, Chris Pine, Robin Wright, and David Thewlis, among others. Patty Jenkins (MONSTER) will be directing from a story written by Allan Heinberg, Geoff Johns and Zack Snyder. If you're looking for a few more details, Warner Bros. has dropped the official synopsis in preparation for their SDCC panel.

The official synopsis for WONDER WOMAN:

Wonder Woman hits movie theaters around the world next summer when Gal Gadot returns as the title character in the epic action adventure from director Patty Jenkins. Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.

You can count me in with the majority who think Gal Gadot totally rocked it as Wonder Woman! I know there's a lot of people who aren't fans of Zack Snyder, so the excitement for films like SUICIDE SQUAD and WONDER WOMAN is arguably greater than it was for BATMAN V SUPERMAN. As of now, WONDER WOMAN kinda sounds like a mash-up between the first CAPTAIN AMERICA movie and THOR, so here's hoping it gives Gadot a lot of great characters and action to play with!

WONDER WOMAN opens on June 2, 2017.
