To those who attended this year’s Comic-Con, tell me…did you hear the title LAST MAN STANDING while you were there?

No, it’s not the Bruce Willis film, and certainly not the new Tim Allen show. I’m talking about Daniel LuVisi’s graphic novel that sold out in a mere two hours. I’m talking about the one Paramount is set to give the big-screen treatment!

According to Variety, Paramount has tapped David Leslie Johnson (ORPHAN, WRATH OF THE TITANS) to adapt LuVisi’s LAST MAN STANDING to the big screen. Word is the sci-fi action novel is being expanded in a comic-book series and fashioned for a multi-media franchise.

The story of LAST MAN STANDING is set 600 years in the future and follows an invincible soldier created to help Earth win a war against Mars. After becoming a celebrity hero, he’s framed for a heinous crime by a terrorist organization. After a nine-year prison sentence, he escapes and sets out to even the score.

Okay, so perhaps not an all out horror number, but definitely action-packed enough, in a foreign enough setting, to conjure some excitement. Next comes a director and casting info…
