Our first look at Shailene Woodley alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Snowden

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

A month ago we got our first peek at Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Edward Snowden in Oliver Stone's upcoming biopic thriller SNOWDEN, and today Open Road Films has released another image from the set, this time featuring Shailene Woodley who portrays Lindsay Mills, the girlfriend of Edward Snowden.

Lindsay Mills was in the dark as to what Edward was up to until he later identified himself as the source of the NSA leak. After a period apart she eventually traveled to Russia to join him which where they reside today. While we're talking real-life, the actual Edward Snowden recently sat down with Last Week Tonight with John Oliver on HBO; the interview is definitely worth a watch if you're interested.

I'll admit that it's been a while since I was really and truly impressed by an Oliver Stone film but the man certainly knows how to put together a stellar cast; Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Shailene Woodley, Tom Wilkinson, Melissa Leo, Nicolas Cage, Timothy Olyphant, Zachary Quinto, and Rhys Ifans headline SNOWDEN which will premiere on December 25, 2015.
