Our JoBlo Games Twitch channel launches tonight with Apex Legends & more!

Apex Legends, Season 2, Twitch

For the past several weeks, we’ve been exploring our Options Menu here at JoBlo.com, and now, we’re proud and excited to announce that we’re pressing the Start button on our new Twitch channel, JoBlo Games!

This brand-new extension of JoBlo.com is already alive and kicking, and we plan on pumping it full of video games-related content such as live streaming events, brief overviews of new and old titles, a new podcast, and features that are exclusive to JoBlo’s presence on Twitch.

To begin, we have live streaming events set to debut every Wednesday at 9:30 EST, which are poised to be hosted by both new and well-established members of the JoBlo network. What’s more is that because these events will be coming to you in real time, it means that you can comment and interact with us as we explore strange worlds, rack up a respectable amount of kills, and interact with characters both new and familiar.

For our first live streaming event, video editor and JoBlo Games partner Bobby Shortle will be taking an in-depth look at the Season 2 content for Apex Legends, the free-to-play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. For the Season 2 offerings, Apex Legends will introduce players to a new Legend called Octane, as well as a new character named Natalie “Wattson” Paquette, who’s capable of electrifying fences to damage and slow opponents. Also included in the Season 2 content are updates to the map, more legendary-rarity items, new weapons, balancing changes to the game, and the addition of massive creatures that dominate sections of an already dangerous terrain.

Again, our first live streaming event for JoBlo Games with Bobby Shortle is happening tonight at 9:30 EST with a deep-dive into Season 2 of Apex Legends. Be sure to head over to our Twitch channel and give us a follow for all the latest updates, events, and game-related goodness.

While I’ve got your attention, I’d also like to tell you about some new features being added to our JoBlo Gaming YouTube channel.

In addition to posting the latest teases and trailers, we’ll also be hosting a series of cool videos such as our “Best of the Week” Video Game Trailers compilations every Saturday, a new video game walkthrough feature called “What is …,” and more features to come!

For “What is …,” JoBlo’s own Bobby Shortle will take us on a guided tour through the opening act of some of today’s hottest games. Not sure about spending your hard earned cash on a title that just hit the shelves? Let us give you a taste of the game’s story, characters, mechanics, and possibilities. After all, there’s no better way to plan your next paycheck than to know what games you need to budget for, amiright?

We’ve also got a “WTF Happened to This Game” video feature on the way from editor and host Rich Alvarez. For what will be a continuing series, Rich will explore gaming titles both new and old, ofttimes taking a deep-dive into what makes them stand out among the many. The pilot episode of this series which discusses the fate of Square Enix’s beloved CHRONO TRIGGER series is set to go live this week, with new videos to be posted bi-weekly.

We hope that you’ll join us for all the JoBlo game-related shenanigans. This is obviously new territory for us, and it may take some time for the features to catch on, but we’re going to do our damnedest to make sure that everyone has a great time. Game on!
