Netflix has just released the latest trailer for the fifth and final season of their popular show, Outer Banks. The cast for this season will include Chase Stokes (John B.), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), Madison Bailey (Kiara), Jonathan Daviss (Pope), Carlacia Grant (Cleo), Drew Starkey (Rafe), Austin North (Topper), Fiona Palomo (Sofia), J. Anthony Crane (Chandler Groff) and Cullen Moss (Shoupe).

“Season five finds the Pogues at their absolute breaking point following the tragic loss of JJ in Morocco. Stranded far from home and mourning the heart of their crew, they’ve lost the Blue Crown and continue to face a gauntlet of familiar threats. With Chandler Groff still at large, Dalia and the Corsairs closing in, and the Kooks ensuring the Pogues have no home to return to, John B, Sarah, Kiara, Pope and Cleo must rely on their scrappy instincts — and an uneasy alliance with Rafe — to keep from falling apart for good. Their mission is now a desperate race to reclaim their future and finally win the freedom they’ve been chasing since the beginning. It’s the Pogues against the world as they seek to avenge their best friend and bring it on home… one final time.”
Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke serve as the show’s creators and executive producers.
The ten-episode season streams on Netflix starting August 20.
Netflix will be throwing a celebration for the fans commemorating this concluding season. They have announced the additional special, Pogues For Life: A Fan Farewell With The Cast Of Outer Banks. The official press release has announced:
On Saturday, August 15th, Netflix is bringing the Outer Banks fandom together for something that has never happened before — Pogues for Life: A Fan Farewell Event with the Cast of Outer Banks in Los Angeles. Join the cast to send off five seasons of the most chaotic, sun-drenched, treasure-hunting crew to ever come out of the Cut.
The event will feature the inaugural “Pogue Awards,” the first-ever, fan-voted OBX awards show. Five seasons. Infinite iconic moments. One night to crown them all. The categories were made for the fans who’ve been paying attention — and their votes decide who takes home the gold. (Literally.) Voting opens August 6th on Tudum.com.
Following the award show will be an exclusive on-stage conversation with the cast: Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Carlacia Grant and Drew Starkey. Together – one last time – for the kind of goodbye you only get when the whole crew shows up.
The event will conclude with an advance screening of the first episode of the final season with hundreds of fellow Pogues in the room.
