Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are at it again in THE INTERNSHIP! The Google-centric comedy just released a trailer featuring the stars competing with Generation Y for jobs at the Internet company. Hilarity will ensue.

If you are hoping for WEDDING CRASHERS 2, don’t hold your breath. While THE INTERNSHIP does bring back together stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson, this trailer feels a lot safer than their prior outing together. Directed by Shawn Levy (DATE NIGHT, REAL STEEL, NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM), the movie doesn’t feel quite as dirty as what we have come to expect from Vaughn and Wilson. Instead, this feels more like a PG-13 version of OLD SCHOOL.

Synopsis:

Billy (Vince Vaughn) and Nick (Owen Wilson) are salesmen whose careers have been torpedoed by the digital world. Trying to prove they are not obsolete, they defy the odds by talking their way into a coveted internship at Google, along with a battalion of brilliant college students. But, gaining entrance to this utopia is only half the battle. Now they must compete with a group of the nation’s most elite, tech-savvy geniuses to prove that necessity really is the mother of re-invention.

I will admit the whole Charles Xavier scene made me laugh. But, I get a bad vibe from this trailer. It feels like a reverse REVENGE OF THE NERDS, which is what OLD SCHOOL was. I was kind of hoping for something a little more from these guys reuniting.

THE INTERNSHIP, starring Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, Rose Byrne and Max Minghella opens on June 7, 2013.
