Oxford Murders trailer

Here’s an interesting case – a Spanish-dubbed trailer for an English-language film shot in England by a Spanish director, which stars a hobbit.

Cinema VIP has the brand new trailer for THE OXFORD MURDERS, and unless you speak Spanish, this will be all Greek to you. Nevertheless, you don’t have to speak the language to easily discern what the flick is about: a professor (John Hurt) and his student (Elijah Wood) team up to solve a series of murders linked by mathematical symbols. In the process, Elijah seemingly gets laid by a hot chick, which immediately skyrockets this film into the stratosphere of LORD OF THE RINGS-style preposterousness.

Directed by Álex de la Iglesia, and co-starring Leonar Watling, Julie Cox, and the always cool Dominique Pinon (from all of Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s flicks), THE OXFORD MURDERS has a January 18th release date set in Spain, and a March 5th date set in France, but nothing doing so far in the States.
