P-Valley: Starz renews the acclaimed drama series for a third season

P-Valley, P-Valley Season 3, Starz

Starz is letting the doors of the Pynk swing wide again by ordering a third season of the crime-related drama. P-Valley Season 3 will consist of 10 episodes produced by Lionsgate. The show hails from Katori Hall, who created, showruns, and executive produces the series. P-Valley takes place in the Pynk, a strip club in the Mississippi Delta in the American South. Often described as a neo-noir, P-Valley is a character-driven thriller led by four women: Brandee Evans (The Family BusinessB-Boy Blues) as seasoned stripper Mercedes, Elarica Johnson (A Discovery of WitchesBlade Runner 2049) as newcomer Autumn Night, Shannon Thornton (FBIThe Week Of) as Miss Mississippi, and Skylar Joy (MaDog) as Gidget.

In Season 2, P-Valley presented a timely twist by seeing the Pynk struggle to remain in the game during the pandemic. Each episode built on a war for control of the club, with new faces adding plenty of spice to an already hot mix of personalities. Intimate and bold, P-Valley continues to explore the lives of the main cast, who give their all to the art of stripping.

Nicco Annan (This Is Us, All About the Afterglow), J. Alphonse Nicholson (Butterfly BoxingJust Mercy), Parker Sawyers (Southside with YouThe Mummy), Harriett D. Foy (Welcome to the WaynesLaw & Order: Special Victims Unit), Dan J. Johnson (Chicago FireSwitched At Birth), Morocco Omari (21 BridgesEmpire), and Dominic DeVore (HeavyweightSmall Arms) also star.

Are you a fan of P-Valley? Are you excited about the series coming back for a third season? Have you ever eaten at a strip club buffet? Once, I ran into a high school acquaintance working for the crowd at a strip club called The Carousel. Instead of being awkward, we had a fantastic chat, and she introduced me to all her co-workers. It turned into quite the night of laughter, booze, and astounding feats of physical strength on the pole.
