I think we’re moving in a new direction of horror, this of horror movies based on true life events. With last year’s , and last week’s going strong, and the just announced

Case in point is the news that Production Weekly received today of the new horror flick THE BASEMENT, based… on true events. Directed by Tommy O’Haver, THE BASEMENT is the true story of an ordinary housewife who imprisons a teenage girl in her basement, leading to some savage and sadistic shit.

I’ve always said that the true stories are the most sick and twisted, and here you go- a tale of the sick and twisted. The flick is set to star the ever hot even though she’s old enough to be my mom Catherine Kenner, and the hot though she looks like she’s twelve Ellen Page (HARD CANDY). Yeah. What a cast! And the story sounds intense, especially since it’s based on the actual court transcripts for the preceding trial of this demented housewife.
